Keel Conscious – Privacy Policy

Overview

Corten Cell LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”) develops Keel Conscious, an iOS application available on the Apple App Store. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how the app handles your data.

Data Collection

Keel Conscious does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on our servers. We do not require you to create an account, and the app contains no analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking SDKs.

Motion Data

The app uses your AirPods’ built-in motion sensors (via Apple’s CMHeadphoneMotionManager) to monitor head posture in real time. All motion data is processed entirely on your device and is never sent to any server.

Camera Data

The app can optionally derive head pose from your iPhone’s front camera using Apple’s ARKit face tracking. Camera frames and the derived face data are processed entirely on your device — they are never recorded, saved, or sent to any server. The camera is only active while you have a session running with camera tracking enabled.

Audio

During a session, Keel plays a soft “pulse” sound through your AirPods to keep tracking active while your phone is locked or in the background. No audio is recorded — Keel only plays, it does not listen.

On-Device Storage and iCloud Sync

Posture session data, calibration baselines, and preferences are stored locally on your device, and — if you are signed into iCloud — synced to your private iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit so your sessions follow you across your devices. This data lives in your iCloud account; we have no access to it. All data is removed if you delete the app and clear your CloudKit data.

Third-Party Services

Keel Conscious does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-collection services. The app is distributed through the Apple App Store, which is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Children’s Privacy

Keel Conscious is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the app collects no personal data from any user, no special provisions are required.

Keel Conscious is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, including migraine. Information in the app is for general awareness and is not medical advice. Consult a qualified healthcare provider for diagnosis or treatment.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
