Keel Conscious
Stay balanced.
Your neck carries strain quietly. The kind that's linked to chronic and vestibular migraine often builds for hours before you feel it. Keel turns that buildup into a daily score you can watch in real time — tracked from your AirPods, your iPhone's front camera, or both at once.
What It Does
Keel watches two axes of head position — forward tilt and lateral tilt — and measures how long you spend in each zone. Cervical loading escalates fast as your head drops forward, and research has associated sustained strain with tension-type headache and migraine.
Most posture apps stop there. Keel tracks lateral tilt too — the ear-to-shoulder axis — because people managing vestibular migraine often can't feel when their head has drifted sideways. That unnoticed tilt loads the neck asymmetrically, and it's exactly the kind of signal that can add up over hours.
Track from the motion sensors in your AirPods, the TrueDepth front camera on your iPhone, or both at once for the most accurate read. A short calibration captures your natural baseline so Keel measures against your posture, not a generic ideal.
Migraine Profiles
The neck stress that matters depends on your migraine type. Keel's scoring engine adapts to your profile.
Traditional Migraine
Weights forward tilt — the head-drop that drives cervical loading and builds up fastest during screen time.
Vestibular Migraine
Weights lateral tilt — the ear-to-shoulder drift that often goes unnoticed but loads the neck asymmetrically.
Balanced
Tracks forward and lateral tilt equally for a comprehensive read on both axes.
Strain Score
Across the whole day, Keel tracks the load on your neck and distills it into a single number. Lower is better. Four tiers — from “Smooth Sailing” to “High Alert” — tell you at a glance whether to keep going or call it.
Live Feedback
Animated Buoy
A buoy — your live camera feed or a 3D visualizer — tilts and sinks as your posture drifts, shifting color from green to red.
Haptic & Sound Alerts
Gentle taps and tones kick in when you've been misaligned too long, so you can correct without staring at the screen.
Alert Sensitivity
Pick Strict (1 second), Balanced (3 seconds), or Relaxed (6 seconds) to match how quickly you want Keel to nudge you.
Lock Screen & Dynamic Island
See your posture status at a glance without opening the app — Keel runs as a Live Activity on iOS.

Your Data Stays Yours
Keel Conscious processes all motion data locally on your device. Your posture information is never sent to external servers.
Keel isn’t a medical device. If you’re managing migraine, work with your doctor.
